A ripple effect of good.

Noah Farrelly's kindness reached further than he ever knew. We keep that ripple growing through shoes, scholarships and runner safety for Binghamton kids.

Our story

On December 4, 2018, Noah was struck and killed by a vehicle while out on a training run. Through organ donation, he saved six lives. The detective who handled Noah's case told us his impact wouldn't stop there. A ripple effect of good would carry his story to countless others we'd never even know about.

The Noah Farrelly Memorial Fund is how we keep it growing. We return the love we received to the community that carried us through, and we cultivate more of what made Noah so loved in the first place.

Our Programs

Five ways Noah's ripple reaches Binghamton kids today.

Farrelly's Feet

Sneakers for students across all seven BCSD elementary schools, delivered mid-year when most shoe drives have moved on. School social workers identify children quietly, so no child is ever singled out.

Kind Soles

Assemblies for every BCSD student paired with a community-wide shoe drive, giving students a hands-on way to put kindness into action. Proceeds fund new sneakers through Farrelly's Feet.

Kindness Counts Scholarship

Awards that recognize empathy rather than grades or athletics. Students, faculty and staff nominate someone whose everyday kindness made a difference.

Runner Safety & Wearable ID

Free wearable identification and road safety education for young runners, so no family faces what ours did. Now focused on fully funding IDs for BCSD athletes.

Healthy Kids Running Series

We're the bib sponsor for this five-week series at Otsiningo Park for Pre-K through 8th grade. An adaptive Challenger Division lets kids of all abilities take part.

✽ How We Help

How Kind Soles works

1

Impactful assemblies

Brian Williams, founder of Think Kindness, challenges every BCSD student to document 5,000 acts of kindness in 15 days.

2

The shoe drive

Funds2Orgs processes every pair collected, turning the shoes into funding for Farrelly's Feet and opportunity for micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations.

3

The drop-off sites

Businesses and organizations across the community host collection bins, giving everyone a simple way to be part of the ripple.

Common questions

Kind Soles is our newest initiative, facilitated by the Binghamton City School District. It pairs motivational assemblies for all BCSD students, grades K through 12, with a community-wide shoe drive. The shoe drive runs from September 28 through the end of October.
